Don't fret about fasting whether it be for the first seven days or longer. Fasting isn't about giving up anything except that which you will learn is no longer necessary. Fasting can be meditative, contemplative, and or invigorative. It's about time to let the body have a time out so that it can reach center. This also allows the person fasting to find themselves out. To learn why we do what we do the way we do requires an environment that provides rest, peace, and tranquil quiet. Its a time to develop new habitually healthy skills.
